SessionDock Privacy Policy Last updated: December 12, 2025 ## Introduction SessionDock runs locally on your device. We do not collect, upload, or sell your personal data. Your session catalog lives entirely on disk unless you opt in to cloud sync, so you stay in control of your projects and metadata. ## Information We May Access SessionDock does not collect personal information for analysis, advertising, or third-party sharing. However, if you choose to enable cloud sync, certain information necessary for the sync process may be accessed as described below. ### Dropbox Sync When you authorize Dropbox sync, SessionDock uses the official Dropbox API with credentials you provide. In order to maintain your authorized connection and perform sync operations, Dropbox may supply limited account metadata (such as your Dropbox account identifier and email) to your local app instance. SessionDock does **not** collect, store, or transmit this information to any server under our control — it is used only locally to manage the sync session. OAuth access and refresh tokens provided by Dropbox are stored **locally on your device** in the app’s secure storage and are not sent to SessionDock servers. These tokens allow the app to interact with your Dropbox account for sync as long as you remain connected. SessionDock only accesses the specific folder you authorize for sync and cannot view or modify other files in your Dropbox account. ### iCloud Sync If you enable iCloud sync for the iPhone companion apps, SessionDock writes session metadata and preview assets required to keep your devices aligned into your personal iCloud Drive container. Files include session manifests, tags, references to thumbnails, and audio previews so the mobile app can display the same context. Nothing is ever uploaded to SessionDock-operated servers, and we cannot access the information that resides in your iCloud account. ## Data Stored Locally The following data is stored on your device: - Session details, tags, and metadata you add in the app - Preview thumbnails generated on your machine - Preferences such as workspace locations and UI settings - Sync manifests, caches, and tokens needed to reconcile with cloud services when enabled All data remains within the SessionDock application support directory unless you choose to delete it. ## Optional Cloud Sync Cloud sync is entirely opt-in. You can disable Dropbox or iCloud sync at any time from preferences, which stops future uploads. To remove previously synced data: - For iCloud: delete the SessionDock folder from your iCloud Drive - For Dropbox: delete the SessionDock folder from your Dropbox account Disabling sync does not automatically remove past uploads — you control that. ## Third-Party Services SessionDock does not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking services. The app communicates only with macOS and, if you enable sync, Apple’s iCloud infrastructure or Dropbox’s API using your own credentials. ## Your Choices You can delete your SessionDock data at any time by removing the application support folder manually. If cloud sync is enabled, you may also delete synced folders from iCloud Drive or Dropbox as described above. ## Contact support@sessiondock.com
